What happens when I purchase a share of a music catalogue on ANote Music?
Purchasing shares of a music catalogue available on the ANote Music platform means acquiring the right to receive a proportional percentage of the future royalty income that one of the original right holders of the works in that catalogue (for example, the songwriter, composer, artist, producer, record label, or music publisher) are paid for licensed uses of their works.
Depending on the type of music rights and music royalties included in the catalogue, and for as long as you hold shares in your portfolio, you are entitled to periodically receive a portion of the royalties generated by the songs included in that catalogue, proportionally to the number of shares you own. The specific type of royalties and distribution frequency are set out in the listing contracts.
Note: purchasing shares on ANote Music does not grant you any reproduction, management, distribution, or usage rights in the underlying works. You acquire only the right to receive royalties as described in the relevant listing documents.
