When signing up for ANote Music, you have the option to use your social accounts like Google, Apple, or Facebook. While this is a convenient way to get started, here are a few important things to consider:
1. Identity verification
To complete the identity verification process, the name, last name, and date of birth on your ANote Music account must match your legal documents. If your social media profile uses a nickname or alias that’s different from your legal name, you won’t be able to verify your identity. This is because accounts created through social sign-up automatically pull your details from your social account.
If this applies to you, we recommend signing up with your email instead of a social account or changing your personal details on your social account.
2. Passwords
When creating an account via social sign-up, you won’t need to create a password. However, to access your ANote Music account, you’ll need to be logged into the same social media account (e.g., Google) on the device you’re using, whether it’s a phone, tablet, or a computer.
If you lose access to your social media account, you’ll need to contact your social media provider (e.g., Google or Facebook) directly. Keep in mind that ANote Music won’t be able to recover or reset your password since your login is linked to your social account.
3. Changing your email
If you create your account using a social login, it’s important to know that we won’t be able to change your email later. This also means that if your account has funds or a portfolio of royalties, we won’t be able to transfer them to a new account. So, before signing up, ensure that you plan to keep your social media account active and accessible in the long term.
Finally, feel free to sign up using the option that works best for you, but we recommend carefully considering these points before deciding.
