Temporary limitation

At ANote Music, your account security is of utmost importance. Whether you’re an individual user or a company, the verification of your identity—commonly referred to as KYC (Know Your Customer) or KYB (Know Your Business)—is managed by Mangopay SA, a trusted payment and compliance provider. Mangopay SA operates under the regulatory authority of the CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier), the principal public authority overseeing financial services and products.


Why could an account be limited? 


Even if your ANote Music account has successfully passed the initial identity verification process, Mangopay SA may occasionally re-review the account to ensure continuous compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a normal part of their process to keep everything up to standard and, most importantly, to protect ANote Music accounts from financial crimes or illegal activities such as identity theft or fraud. 


If further information is required, Mangopay SA may request additional documents, such as a recent photo ID, proof of address, or bank certification (RIB). During this review period, transactions from the affected account will be temporarily limited. Rest assured, your funds remain safe and intact throughout this process and until the compliance check is completed.


If your account comes under compliance review, don’t worry—it’s part of a routine procedure. In most cases, this can be quickly resolved by providing the requested documents and working with our Support Team to complete the necessary steps.


What happens to your ANote Music account in the meantime?


If your account has been limited for compliance reasons, here’s what you can expect:

  1. Notification: You will receive an email from our Support Team outlining the steps to follow and the documents required for the review.
  2. Account Access: While the review is ongoing, your access to the platform will be temporarily restricted.
  3. Funds, Shares, and Orders: You will continue to receive royalties in your wallet. However, any pending buy or sell orders will be cancelled.

Once we receive the necessary documents from you, we will forward them to Mangopay SA for review. As soon as the verification process is completed, the restrictions on your account will be lifted, and you will regain full access. Please keep in mind that while we do everything we can to ensure a smooth process, it may take up to three business days to resolve.
